Lard - Yea, Identity is good.

Watched Copland, hadn't seen it since it first come out. It's bang average.

Zico - yes. As I said earlier, one of my favourite bits of the film.

Real shame, really good actor and I agree Goodfellas is a masterpiece. Wasn't it Martin Scorsese's mother who played Joe Pesci's mum in the film?

Such a shame, a very underrated actor. My particular favourite is hie role as an escaped con in the 2003 film, Identity

Goodfellows a joy from start to finish, to be honest doesn't matter if he never made another movie, great actors on top of their game, totally brilliant

Agree, its like the film was made in episodes. The start is so different to the rest of the film, the way it progresses really surprised me when I first saw it.

Some of the acting around minor parts of that film are incredible. The mixture of humour, insane violence and eating all set to a brilliant soundtrack.

The most famous scene pretty much in Goodfellas 'funny how' has to go down as the best off script scenes ever, surely, the whole concept of what the fuck is going on here from the other cast members. Correct me if I'm wrong but they rehearsed it and didn't tell the other cast members they were going to do it. Acting at its finest in that scene alone!

The section running from when he first gets up, gets his sauce on, delivers his guns, cuts and packs his coke, all while the helicopters and cars are following him is, in my mind, once of the best sequences of movie ever.

watched Copland again last night, it was like watching an audition for The Sopranos. so many people on the film later appearing in the series

Re: You Think I'm Funny? - RIP Ray Liotta
It largely seems to have passed below the radar, but he had a big part in the Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Newark as Dick Moltisanti.

Kind of appropriate considering the vast number of actors from that 'mob film' pool that were involved.

Shit. Sad news.

He was a favourite actor of mine, if he was in a film I'd likely watch it as worse case I knew I would enjoy Ray. There was something different about him to other actors. Maybe his laugh, or his streetwise character? A real shame this.

RIP.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Still a classic. Flim wise. Goodfellas. Field of Dreams. And No Escape.

Cheers Duke, saw it once years ago, not a bad film with a few twists

That was Identity. I thought that was great when I first watched it on VHS. I watched it again recently and it had dated badly.

What was the film when a group of people were stuck in a House/Hotel in the storms as they were gettingkilled one by one? He played an escaped convict disguised as an FBI agent.

Excellent Actor R.I.P.

That painting was painted by Nicholas Pileggi's mum.

Nicholas Pileggi is who wrote Wiseguy which Goodfellas is based on.

Tommy's mum is played by Martin Scorsese's mum, and he himself also plays one of the blokes cooking in prison.
